Cambria County shooting leaves one injured, police asking for assistance

CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — After receiving calls for shots being fired, the Stonycreek Township Police Department is asking for your help in finding the suspect.

On Thursday, July 11 at 11:30 p.m., police responded to a shots fired call in Luxor Gardens in the Belmont Section of Stonycreek Township. When police arrived on scene, they were informed that a victim who had suffered a gunshot wound had arrived at a local hospital. Officers were able to confirm that the victim and the call of shots fired were related.

The victim had suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries and is currently being treated. There is an investigation into the shooting and police consider the incident to be isolated without any additional threat to the community or the public.
