A source told Closer Weekly that Jackman’s level of fame was an issue in his relationship with Furness. “The No. 1 problem Hugh and Deb had during their decades together is that Hugh’s career and his ambitions always became the center of their life together, even when they were doing everything in their power to keep that from being the case,” they claimed. So, Jackman reportedly wants to take a different approach if he decides to get married again.

That’s why he’s looking at George and Amal Clooney’s marriage as the source of inspiration for his next relationship. “He needs an Amal Clooney type , and he knows it: somebody who doesn’t eat, drink, and breathe show business 24/7 and who actually thinks about the bigger picture the way Hugh does,” the insider added. That means “branching outside of his entertainment industry bubble” and finding someone with like-minded philanthropic thoughts. Jackman wants a person “who can help him put his massive fortune to good use around the world.”
