If you’re looking for the quickest way to become the most popular neighbor on the block this summer , all you need to do is get yourself an ice cream maker. After a long day spent in the blazing heat, who in their right mind would turn down a frosty helping of their favorite ice cream, gelato or sorbet? It's an easy way to top off the day with something sweet, and the convenience of being able to make it at home is truly second to none.

The problem with a lot of ice cream makers, however, is that they can be a bit pricey. And for someone who is just beginning to dip their toes into the wonderful world of homemade ice cream, anything over $100 seems a bit excessive. While the general rule of thumb remains true, you get what you pay for, not everyone needs the newest Ninja Creami creation. But what they can get is the what people call a dupe Walmart 's Rise by Dash ice cream maker—for a cool $19.96, and officially enter the ice cream game without spending an arm and a leg in the process.

Rise by Dash Personal Electric Ice Cream Maker

It’s easier than ever to have an ice cream summer with the Personal Electric Ice Cream Maker Machine by Rise by Dash . This 1-pint per batch, single serve dessert making machine is capable of whipping up all the classics including gelato, sorbet and frozen yogurt, as well as other flavored healthy snacks and desserts for kids. It weighs only 2.6-pounds, making it easy to store away in the pantry between uses while not taking up too much space on the counter top when in use. And though its looks are not similar to the Ninja CREAMi, fans claim this is better due to its ability to serve up smaller batches.

Not only is this ice cream machine cute and small in both the red and blue colorways, it is also programmable. Users can make personalized batches of their favorite treats or set it to make the exact portions needed for any recipe. The base is freezer safe—making it easy to store leftovers in the freezer—and the one touch design makes it so all you need to do is freeze the base, add the ingredients and mix. There’s only one thing we love more than ease of use, and that's ice cream.
