Cincinnati's West Side is Getting a New Dairy Queen

The West Side of Cincinnati is set to get a whole lot sweeter as a new Dairy Queen DQ Grill & Chill gets ready to open its doors.

The new Dairy Queen, located at 4243 Bridgetown Road in Cheviot, will hold its grand opening Monday, July 15. This will be the second local Dairy Queen for owner Ali Murad, who also owns the location on Springdale Road in Colerain Township.

Murad has spent the last 15 years in the food industry and says that Dairy Queen’s brand, reputation and commitment to community engagement are what encouraged him to become an owner.

“I am so excited to be opening another location and continuing to grow Dairy Queen’s reach in the Cincinnati area,” Murad said in a press release. “With the help of my dedicated management team, our main goal is to provide exceptional service to our customers and to make a lasting impact in our community.”

The grand opening kicks off Monday at 10:30 a.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Cheviot Mayor Samuel Keller and a Miracle family from Cincinnati Children’s Hospital will also be at the grand opening.

Dairy Queen is best known for its soft-serve ice cream treats like cones, sundaes and the ever-popular Blizzard. The chain’s DQ Grill & Chill concept also offers made-to-order lunch and dinner options like the StackBurgers, chicken strip baskets and hot sandwiches.

After it opens, the Cheviot Dairy Queen will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
