The Michigan State Police are recruiting the public for help identifying the person who has been shooting up transformers, regulators and other electrical equipment over the last year, they announced this morning. Anyone who provides information leading to an arrest is due for a $9,999 payday, via HomeWorks Tri-County Electric Co-op.

According to a social media post from MSP, the incidents of gunshot damage to electrical infrastructure — 14 in total — have amassed more than $250,000 in damages. They have occurred in Clinton, Eaton and Ionia counties, MSP announced online, and are primarily happening at night.
