The Pettis County Commission announced the passage of Commission Order, 03-2024 #1878, Providing for a Real Estate Tax Credit for Seniors in Pettis County, in accordance with Missouri Senate Bill 190 (MO SB 190) and MO SB 756. This action taken by the County Commission will provide a real estate tax credit for senior citizens, offering financial relief and supporting the well-being of elderly residents.

Eligible seniors will benefit from a reduction in their real estate taxes, ensuring they can continue to reside in their homes without the added stress of increasing property taxes. Citizens will have the opportunity to apply for this credit between March 1 – May 31 of the year 2025.

The Pettis County Commission encourages all eligible senior citizens to take advantage of this tax credit and invites them to contact the Pettis County Collector’s Office for more information on how to apply for the credit.
