General Hospital fans are wondering when this mother and daughter duo will share the screen again.
Portia and Trina were central in Friday’s episode with overlapping storylines but didn’t interact. Portia has been adamant that she does want Heather Webber out of jail because of the threat she poses to her family, specifically Trina. Heather terrorized and targeted Trina, leading to Spencer’s death, alongside daughter Esme. Esme also caused trouble for both Spencer and Trina as well. On Tuesday’s episode, Portia angrily confronted Laura and they got into an argument about Heather.
Laura has been advocating for reopening Heather's case because Heather's murderous actions were apparently the result of cobalt poisoning from hip surgery. Laura thinks with this new information Heather’s case should be reexamined. Although Heather herself didn’t agree when Laura visited because she can't trust that she won't be evil like that again. And on Friday’s episode, Laura and Trina were having their own conversation about Heather and if Heather should remain behind bars. Heather was also the topic of conversation for Curtis and Portia too.

As this storyline involves both Portia and Trina, GH fans are wondering why the two have not had a scene together. One fan on X formerly Twitter made an observation that its been "since early February" since they've been seen together. They felt there was an opportunity for one especially about Heather. In this episode, Trina interacted with her father Curtis as she set a romantic dinner for him and her mom but left before Portia came.
One fan wrote on X/Twitter wrote: " Seriously, they still aren't gonna let Portia and Trina be in the same scene, this is ridiculous." A second fan said: " So Trina's already gone when her mother gets here? Do they remember what each other looks like? It'd be great if they could talk about Heather together. Or murder her together. Either or. I'm not picky." Another said: "Ok lol there was no reason for Trina and Portia to not share scenes. This is deliberate." A fan quote-tweeted the previous fan's tweet with: "Another episode without them sharing scenes is criminal."
However whenever the time comes, the two will most likely be at odds about Heather. In Trina's conversation with Laura, she had expressed compassion for Heather by acknowledging that she was mentally ill. She reflected if it's fair for a mentally ill person to be punished for something they have no control over and should they treated the same way in comparison to someone who knew what they were doing. Trina answered she doesn't think so and added that she thought Heather "should get justice according to the laws of this country."
