Many shoppers have complained that the thrifting scene has become too expensive, with prices skyrocketing.

One person took to Facebook after making a shocking discovery at her local store.
“Sometimes it’s actually cheaper to shop at Walmart or Ross,” said Christine Reaves.
She shared a photo of a bathing suit she found at the Eagle Rock Thrift Store that had a tag for $19.96.
“I ran across this the other day, I thought I’d share with you all,” Reaves continued.
The same bathing suit had three other tags that were listed at $9.99, $9, and $3.
“I think it is wrong for these stores to overprice items that are given to them for free,” said Reaves.
“But if they’re going to be like that, at least pull the original price tags off!!”
The post received more than 20 comments from people who were just as upset as Reaves.
“Yeah, I hate when they do that,” wrote one person.
“These items should be marked at least a little higher than yard sale prices,” wrote another person.
“No used item should be higher. I’d rather buy them new than this.”
One person slammed their local Goodwill, describing it as “absolutely ridiculous.”
“I literally will not shop at that store,” they wrote.
“I am not going to pay three and four or five dollars for a paperback book that’s oldest c**p.”
However, one person said the thrift store, Eagle Rock, has to raise money for their charity while also paying bills and employees.
“I’ll continue to pay where I know they are doing what they say versus the others that claim to help and don’t.”
Another shopper agreed, praising the store for its organization and kind staff.
“I would rather give a little extra sometimes I count it in my head as a donation with a bonus of goods for myself or someone in my house.”
The U.S. Sun has reached out to Eagle Rock for comment.
However, the thrift store appeared to sell it for nearly $20 Facebook/Christine Reaves Many other shoppers agreed that thrifting had become too expensive Getty
