    Morrison County Record's 2024 All Area Baseball Team

    Pitcher: Reese Young, Senior, Pierz

    Reese Young is selected as Morrison County Record’s 2024 All Area Baseball player of the Year. Young proves to opposing defenses he’s hard to catch, earning a total of 29 runs and setting a new school season record of 29 stolen bases. He hit six doubles and 14 RBIs. On the mound, he pitched over 4 innings, throwing 44 strikeouts.

    Outfield: Chase Becker Senior, Pierz

    Becker led the team with 16 RBIs during the 2024 season. He also tied for most doubles (6) and had a batting average of .351. Becker also had 18 runs and 17 walks.

    Second base: Joey Stuckmayer, Senior, Pierz

    Stuckmayer had an .288 OBP(on-base percentage) and .538 OPS (On-base plus slugging. Out of 13 hits, he had 11 singles, two doubles and had seven RBIs.

    Outfield: Jack Primus, Junior, Upsala

    Primus was the Prairie Conference’s top this season, with a batting average of .436. Out of his 34 hits, he has earned 15 doubles, three triples and one home run. This was his second consecutive season hitting more extra base hits than singles. He also earned 23 RBIs and 25 runs.

    Shortstop: Bryce Benik, Senior, Upsala

    Benik ended his senior season, putting up good numbers at the plate. Out of 25 hits, he earned 19 RBIs, 14 runs and a batting average of .338.

    Outfield: Carter Gwost Junior, Little Falls

    Gwost achieved multiple accomplishments during his Junior year, including earning the titles of all conference, All Section 8AAA team and All State AAA. Ghost's batting percentage of .411 includes nine doubles and three home runs.

    Third Base: Carter Oothoudt, Senior, Little Falls

    As a senior, Oothoudt made the all conference and All Section 8AAA team. Out of 25 hits, he had four doubles, nine stolen bases and one home run.

    Catcher: Alex Thoma, Junior, Little Falls

    Thoma ended his Junior season, with a .281 batting average. He managed 25 hits, three doubles, one triple and two home runs.

    First base: Garrett Lindberg, Senior, Little Falls

    Lindberg hit a .288 batting percentage during his senior season. He had 17 hits and five doubles.
