2 traffic changes to expect next week on U.S. 98 in Santa Rosa County

SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla. ( WKRG ) — Drivers can expect delays or impacts from Bayshore Road to Portside Drive during road work next week, according to the Florida Department of Transportation.

According to a press release, the work involves widening U.S. Highway 98 and will result in the following impacts:

Median and turn lane closures from Bayshore Road to Tiger Lake Drive
Intermittent lane closures and additional median closures between Bayshore Road and Tiger Lake Drive from Sunday, July 14 through Friday, July 19. (From 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. while stormwater drainage improvements and paving operations take place)

FDOT officials said the above impacts are weather-dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled.

They also ask drivers to use caution, especially when traveling through work zones.
