Prince Harry is set to reveal how his legal battle with the tabloid press worsened the rift with his family in an explosive TV interview tonight.

The Duke of Sussex will appear in an ITV documentary charting the egregious and illegal methods some journalists used to gain access to the voicemail accounts of celebrities and public figures.

“Yeah, that’s certainly a central piece to it,” he reveals in a trailer, having been asked about the impact of the phone hacking scandal on his relationship with his family. “But, you know, that’s a hard question to answer because anything I say about my family results in a torrent of abuse from the press.”

He won his privacy case against Mirror Group newspapers last December after a High Court judge ruled his own phone had been hacked.

His TV appearance comes amid rumours that he will be attending the UK-leg of the $600m wedding for the son of Asia’s richest man.

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant tied the knot in Mumbai last weekend during three days of lavish celebrations - which will now turn its attention to the UK.

Festivities are set to resume at the Stoke Park Country Club near Slough, with the entire seven-star hotel being booked out until September to prepare for a star-studded guest list, rumoured to include the prince.
