The former Liverpool star married then-18-year-old Aisha Tamba back in January in a small ceremony at her home in Dakar. Their relationship was thought to have been kept under wraps before the wedding, which was held just a week before Mane’s involvement in the Africa Cup of Nations.
Following the ceremony, Tamba returned to her school, where she was studying for a baccalaureate in Mbao – an academic qualification that students tend to obtain at the end of their secondary education.
Tamba now looks to have completed her studies, with a video posted on social media last month (via Daily Mail ) showing her celebrating with Mane as she received her baccalaureate.
According to Senenews, the footage was recorded by Tamba’s father, with Mane’s wife reacting with shock as her results were announced at the former Red’s home. Tamba reportedly gained her diploma with a passable distinction, and is now considering moving into higher education.
“I do not feel any pressure because Sadio’s fame and money will not change me,” she said. “This is not what I’m interested in. I will remain a humble person committed to my faith. I’m not used to having so much attention on me because we are a very private family. We don’t like to show off and speak about our personal lives. I am a very down to earth person, this is how I was raised, and nothing will be different just because of this marriage.”
Mane could be set for his third transfer in just two years , having left Liverpool for Bayern Munich back in 2022. According to Saudi outlet outlet Okaz , Al-Ittihad could be interested in signing the 32-year-old on a season-long loan from Al-Nassr, although it would involve him taking a significant pay cut. Turkish clubs Besiktas and Fenerbahce are also said to be interested.
