If you've always wanted your own walk-in closet but you also have a tight budget, then this video was made just for you. Consider this your sign to start building your dream space! It's actually affordable and doesn't require a ton of planning or building. Almost too good to be true!

I don't know about you, but I've not had the pleasure of living in a home with a walk-in closet attached to my bedroom though I would love to experience that luxury someday. This creator has always wanted a similar spacious storage area for her clothes and accessories so she decided to build it herself. Turns out, you don't need a whole separate room as a closet. You can just use one bedroom wall and some Walmart shelves!

If there's one thing you need to know about TikTok creator Peyton ( @peytonmheath ) it's that she is a huge fan of bright and colorful clothing. Obviously she has a gorgeous collection of vibrant pieces and accessories but so far she hasn't had a good place to store or display them. No built-in closet? No problem. Here's what she did instead!

How to Transform Walmart Bookshelves into a Closet Wall

In order to stay within her budget, Peyton was determined to find an affordable alternative to a walk-in closet and that came to her in the form of Walmart shelves. Walmart's tall bookshelves are just $35 a piece and Peyton only needed three of them to hold all of her clothes. That's just over $100!

In order to customize her closet's storage, she also grabbed a handful of adjustable closet rods, which you can get for as cheap as $9 for a 2-pack, from her local home improvement store.

Then it was time to build. Peyton put together her three bookshelves but for two of them, instead of adding in the typical shelves, she inserted her closet rods so she would have a ton of space for hanging her clothes.

Fast forward to when her clothes are finally inside and boom! Peyton now has a spacious closet area for all of her belongings and it barely cost her $150.
