Even though dogs can’t speak, they have plenty of ways of communicating their feelings. Through sighs, moans, and grumbles, they never hesitate to share their thoughts. Some even employ animated expressions to tell their stories.

Take this adorable Lab, for instance, who had a lot to say after her first crayfish encounter. If looks could talk, this good girl’s face just narrated a novel.

Her reaction, captured in this video from July 9, will surely make you smile.

She isn’t holding anything back! This sweetheart is living up to her nickname, Unstable Mabel, and it’s safe to assume she is not a fan of these clawed creatures. Even though her sister Stella (@ dognamedstella ) didn’t seem to mind these crustaceans, Mabel wasn’t impressed. She flashed some serious side eyes and even curled up her lip to express her concerns. Like a child who encountered something they didn’t like, she even stuck out her tongue in protest. She’s a riot! However, it’s hard to argue with her logic. Anything that can pinch your nose or lips is always best avoided. Or maybe she’s a meat eater and not a fan of seafood. That’s something I, like many, can certainly understand.

    Is Shellfish Safe for Dogs?

In general, fish can be a beneficial addition to a dog’s diet, as it provides protein, omega-3 fatty acids, and various vitamins and minerals. However, according to Volhard Dog Nutrition, some types of seafood can be hazardous. For instance, salmon should never be fed to dogs in its raw form because it contains a parasite that can make them quite ill. Tuna and swordfish, which can be high in mercury, may cause poisoning if consumed in large amounts. Additionally, shellfish may contain toxins that can lead to poisoning or allergic reactions. Furthermore, fatty or spoiled fish are known to cause digestive upset.

People understood this Labrador’s apprehension. Viewer @flootdoot responded, “Appropriate reaction, to be honest. Imagine if a sharp-clawed alive thing bigger than your paw was pushed towards your face.” It’s an entirely logical response. Viewer @foreverwildrose proposed, “Please place every still shot in a frame in the bathroom. This is art!” It would be the perfect collage for the loo. Viewer @thewolfdogpack remarked, “My dog Thor, when he was still alive, always wanted to eat the crawdads whenever he smelled them. They must have smelled tasty to him. Of course, I always let them go, but I always thought it was funny.” Perhaps if you enjoy seafood, the reward outweighs the risk.

This video is a surefire way to make us laugh whenever we’re having a bad day. It’s hard to feel anything but happy after seeing these priceless expressions.
