Chewy Launches First-Ever ‘Chewy Games’ and Pets Can Literally Get Paid To Zoom

Chewy never stops coming in with fun, interesting little "contests" for everyone to join in on. Just when you think they've done it all, you're wrong. You will always be wrong about that.

What's up now? The first ever Chewy Games, which is a hilariously pet-centric spin on the Olympic Games that are set to take place in Paris soon! If your pet likes to nap, zoom, or do any actual tricks, these games are for you. They made the announcement on Instagram on Wednesday, July 10th:

Listen, if there's one Chewy contest I think my dogs could win, it's one where they're encouraged to sleep or cause chaos. Doing tricks... not so much.

Chewy is many things: a one-stop-shop online pet store (including a pharmacy), an important voice in animal advocacy, and possibly the reigning queen or running contests to get their customers and followers involved. They've done tons before, like:

1. Chewy Claus , where people could submit for their pets to win presents/experiences.
2. The Pet-Posals contest, where engaged pet parents could win money toward pet food to help save for their wedding.
3. The Blue Ticket contest, where auto-ship subscribers could win free pet food for a year.
1. This one is still going on!

Now, they're trying something new: for the first time ever, they're hosting the Chewy Games. These games are open to any pet (it does not say anywhere in the rules or on the announcement post that your pet has to be a dog, and Chewy's contest are always open to a wide variety of pets!).

More About The Chewy Games

The Chewy Games are open for submissions until July 31st, 2024, and don't require any purchase or subscription to enter. You do have to be over the age of 18 and residing in one of the 48 contiguous United States, though!

The Games are divided into three categories:

1. Zooms
2. Nap positions
3. Tricks

If you have a pet that you know would crush the competition in one (or all three) of these categories, you can send your video into Chewy via DM, by using the hashtag #ChewyGames2024, or emailing it directly to chewygames@chewy.com. If your pet is chosen for one of the "medals," you'll be notified by August 9th via DM or email! There will be three winners:

1. The gold medalist wins a $1,000 Chewy gift card.
2. The silver medalist wins a $500 Chewy gift card.
3. The bronze medalist wins a $250 Chewy gift card.

If you of someone you know have a pet that you believe should take home the gold, you better get on it! It's time our furry freeloaders started pulling their weight!
