KROGER has promised a full investigation after a customer alleged that they had been overcharged for their groceries four times.

The angry customer ranted about the experience online.

"This is the 4th time as a Fry’s delivery customer that I have been overcharged, had Instacart people add their groceries to my account," the person stated on X while tagging Kroger, Instacart, and Fry Food store.

"And have been charged a delivery fee while being a boost member. I am disgusted that my discounts were not."

The grocery store's customer service account quickly responded to the user.

"We’re very sorry to hear this," the post began.

"Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Please send us DM and provide your order number, the email address used to place the order, and your rewards card number/ALT ID so that we can further assist."

The retailer also asked the customer to "please verify the name on the account.

It is unknown if the woman ever responded.

On Thursday, one customer called out at the chain after they were overcharged for a handful of items.

"I was in the potato chip aisle, and the stocker who I don't believe is an actual employee of Kroger, was so rude and hateful," the shopper claimed on Facebook.

"I reached across his cart to grab a bag of chips and then almost hit me with cardboard as he walked by.

"I said 'sorry, excuse me' and he just stood there.

Things only got worse when they got to the checkout line.

"Then I get to the checkout and the older lady was [also] hateful, she had to do a price check on something that was $13 and I had four of them, so [I was overcharged] $52," continued the shopper.

What to do if you're overcharged

If you are overcharged at a retailer, there are a few ways to get your money back.

If you noticed you were charged more than the advertised or posted price, report it to an employee or manager.

Make sure to keep your receipt to show the price difference.

As a shopper, you are entitled to the lowest advertised, posted or quoted price offered by the store.

If you are charged more than the advertised, posted or quoted a price, report it to the sales clerk right away. If the sales clerk can’t help, speak to the manager.

Stores must honor a posted price, even if the price has expired.

You are also able to dispute charges with your bank if you notice something suspicious on your statement.

According to Los Angeles County Consumer& Business Affairs

According to the shopper, the woman "goes to get the supervisor and she gets on the phone basically announcing to the whole front of the store, that this lady (me) had items that were marked down and she didn’t know what to do, in the grouchiest, most hateful and aggravated voice ever!"

The customer later stated that the woman's rudeness went unmissed by those behind her who commented on it.

"They do not act like this when the manager is there. It’s ridiculous," the post concluded.

Walmart has also come under fire for overcharging its customers.

Earlier this month, the megastore was accused of overcharging a customer for a delivery and blaming it on the weight of the purchase.

"Don't do pickups or deliveries with @Walmart," the angry social media user wrote.

"My card was charged 2 1/2 times the price of my item and now I'm told they overcharged me because of weight when I picked it up and NOTHING was weighed.

"Now 7-10 days to get the $ they overpriced me with," she added.
