Herbs are useful in so many ways, they elevate meals, can be used in herbal remedies, and are beautiful in a landscaping design. If you haven’t tried your hand at growing herbs at home, whats holding you back? They are one of the simplest plants to grow, with some varieties needing very little care once established!

The best thing about growing fresh herbs (besides the wonderful additions they add to meals of course), is the fact that they don’t require much space, as many varieties have shallow roots and do exceptionally well in pots and window boxes.

One creative DIY-er showed off her adorable herb garden she made out of an old wooden wine rack. The idea is not only genius but it looks really cute and is simple to recreate yourself.

Shayna Alnwick ( @theflippedpiece ) took a wine rack and gave it new life by transforming it into a dazzling herb garden. The wooden hexes that originally were meant for the wine bottles made the perfect dividers for each crop of herbs.

Each step in the video seems doable for other DIYers, and people are loving the end result.

"Incredible Re-purpose!!! 🤩✨❤️Genius and so creative 🙌🏾🙌🏾❤️," one person wrote.

Another commenter said, "So cute!! Totally going to try this if I can find one soon 😍"

And when someone asked if she used anything for the wood on the back, concerned that the water might ruin it over time, Alnwick responded that she used a water-repellent topcoat. Good to know! We'll be looking on Facebook Marketplace for our own wine rack ASAP.
