The college football landscape has changed over recent years all thanks to the conference realignment, NIL, and transfer portal. We're essentially in the Wild West right now as programs around the nation are ever-changing. But which college football teams are best suited for this new era?

During a guest appearance on The Rich Eisen Show , Bruce Feldman of The Athletic was asked which five college football teams are "best equipped" for the NIL and transfer portal era. Three teams from the SEC made the list while the other two are in the Big Ten. His answer? Oregon, Ohio State, Georgia, Texas, and Alabama, with the Ducks potentially being the No. 1 team "best equipped" for this new era.

"Oregon was the one that jumped into my head. They are going full blast. You got Phil Knight and they have a professionalized operation. I think Dan Lanning's doing a really good job with it."

Oregon, Ohio State, Georgia, Texas, and Alabama are probably the five teams to choose from. It's hard to argue against those five programs being the "best equipped" for this new era. Additionally, it's also interesting that Bruce Feldman mentioned Ole Miss as they're not a program many would put up there with the other five. However, that was coming strictly from an NIL standpoint.

With that said, Feldman's list is likely to remain at the top of the rankings for years to come. All five of those teams have done a magnificent job in recruiting and crush it in the transfer portal. Other teams across the country need to step their game up if they hope to keep up with the Ducks, Buckeyes, Bulldogs, Longhorns, and Crimson Tide.

This season should be a good one. The College Football Playoffs has been extended to 12 teams for the first time. That means we should have less snubs, as the four-team playoff format upset plenty of football fans across the country.

Bruce Feldman's listed five are all expected to be playoff contenders this year. Oregon has high expectations after crushing it in the transfer portal. Meanwhile, many view Ohio State and Georgia as the top two teams in the country. Additionally, Texas has one of, if not, the best quarterback room in college football while you can never count out Alabama.

Look for these five teams to make some noise throughout the regular season. But there can only be one champion. Who will take home the title?
