Andrew Yang Says Democrats Are Finished Across The Country If Biden Stays: ‘Heading For Historic Loss’

Former Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang predicted a “historic loss” for President Joe Biden in November if he is indeed his party’s nominee and faces former President Donald Trump in a rematch of the 2020 election.

Speaking with NewsNation host and Mediaite founder Dan Abrams on Dan Abrams Live Friday, Yang predicted Biden’s loss would be so great that it would drag candidates down the ballot with him.

That would mean not only Trump’s election but his party’s total control of the House and Senate.

The former political candidate joined Dan Abrams Live on NewsNation to discuss Biden’s chances of winning another term following his poor debate performance against Trump last month in Atlanta.

During the debate, Biden appeared confused, which has led to a broad discussion nationally about his cognitive health and calls from many Democrats for him to exit the race.

Abrams reminded viewers that some polling since the debate had shown Biden struggling mightily in battleground states he must win to get to 270 Electoral College votes.

With data showing Biden might be in real trouble, Abrams asked Yang about a potential timetable for Democrats to replace him on the November ballot, should they ultimately choose to do so.

“Andrew Yang, what is the timing on this?” Abrams asked. “You know, we’re talking about this as if well, you know, we’ll see. You know, we’ll wait and see who we’ll figure it out. I would think that we’re dealing with a super tight time frame, right?”

Yang agreed with the host that if Democrats are going to move, time is not on their side.

“You know, we are,” Yang said. “It has to happen before the Democratic Party officially has a nominee, and there’s been talk about dragging forward the nomination process to put this unrest to bed, but also that there are some logistical ballot access hurdles that make it such that they might want to do it before the actual convention, August 13. So time is of the essence.”

Yang then agreed with Tara Palmeri of Puck News, who had assessed Biden’s campaign was in serious trouble.

“I’m with Tara,” he said. “I think he does need to drop out. I think he’s heading for a historic loss. That is going to hand not just the White House but also the Senate and the House to Donald Trump. And the question is how it happens.”

Yang concluded he had heard that some Democratic Party delegates were concerned about Biden, whose only mission he said should be keeping Trump from the White House and helping Democrats down the ballot.
