Seven structures were destroyed in the Quailhollow brush fire, with multiple fire departments on scene Saturday afternoon.

Four homes and three outbuildings have caught on fire, and evacuations are taking place within a three-mile radius near County Road 193 and County Road 34, officials said.

The fire that started out the size of a football field has now burned 1,100 acres of land, according to the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Department.

The fire is on the 2400 block of S. Quail Hollow Rd., southeast of Byers.

Three single engine air tankers and one chopper are providing air support, while ground crews are working to protect several nearby homes.

No injuries have been reported, and multiple fire departments are on the scene, including Arapahoe County's Wildland Fire Team.

Officials say the fire is 50 percent contained.

This is a developing story and will be updated as information is available.
