BEAVER, WV (WVNS) – The Friends of Charity Auto fair wrapped up on Saturday, July 13th and many people gathered to look at unique cars and have a good time.

The Friends of Charity Auto Fair was not just one of the biggest car shows in the state. It was also an event for a good cause.

Proceeds went toward Hospice of Southern West Virginia and Brian’s Safehouse.

Jeri Knowlton, Director of Public Relations for Hospice of Southern West Virginia, said her seeing everyone come together was the best part of the auto fair.

“One of my most favorite things about the Friends of Charity Auto Fair is the sense of community that is here. You can walk through this show field and talk to any car owner and ask all kinds of questions and they love it,” said Knowlton.

This event was not just for car enthusiasts but for people of all ages.

Fair goer, Ethan Rist, said the cars were an awesome experience.

“I like the Army cars too. They are just so big and fun to be in,” said Rist to 59News.

Fair goer, Ethan Gillinspie, said he loved the cars, but also something else.

    “The animals,” said Gillinspie.
