    Family member shot in head after dispute, Darlington County sheriff says

    DARLINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — Two people have been arrested following a Friday altercation that ended with a person shot in the head along Old Mill Pod Road, Darlington County Sheriff James Hudson Jr. said.

    William McKenzie Sheffield is facing charges of attempted murder, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, three counts of pointing and presenting a firearm and manufacturing or distribution of methamphetamine.

    Kathy Elaine Sheffield was charged with obstruction of justice.

    Authorities say the case is still under investigation, and more charges may follow.
