Man found dead at campground in Canyon County. Sheriff’s Office rules it a homicide

Canyon County Sheriff’s Office deputies found a 40-year-old man dead Friday at Martin Landing, a campground west of Parma and close to the state line with Oregon, according to a news release.

The man was found Friday night after dispatch received a report of someone who was unconscious and not breathing, law enforcement said. The Sheriff’s Office ruled the death a homicide, the release said.

“At this time, we do not have a suspect in custody,” Sheriff Kieran Donahue said in a statement. “As always, if you see something that seems suspicious or out of the ordinary, please don’t hesitate to contact law enforcement.”
