Mostly clear skies tonight; warm and sunny for your Sunday

Saturday evening will have a few clouds around and perhaps a rogue shower or two. The biggest talking point will be how warm it is, starting off in the 80s for those with evening plans. Thankfully, we’ll cool off quite nicely tonight as overnight lows drop into the 60s. Along with mostly clear skies, makes for a great excuse to enjoy the stars!
Sunday will be an easy start for those heading off to church, mostly clear skies with temps in the 60s/70s. With plenty of sunshine expected, it won’t late long for our temps to soar near 90. While a rogue shower or two can’t be ruled out, it will be tough to see any relief from the heat and humidity so don’t forget to stay hydrated and cool.
Monday morning once again looks easy for anyone hitting the road. Temps in the 60s will quickly upgrade to temps in the 70s by lunchtime as they continue to rocket into the 90s to end our Monday. The heat and humidity do bring in the slight chance for a rogue shower, but unfortunately better chances will be held further up to our north.
Tuesday, unfortunately, won’t help much with our dry spell as we continue to remain under the influence of a high pressure system down to our south. With temps pushing into the low 90s along with a muggy afternoon, a few isolated showers do remain possible, but better rain chances will hold off until our Wednesday.
Wednesday finally brings in a little relief as a cold front passes through. Scattered showers early will be followed by scattered thunderstorms during the afternoon. Mostly cloudy skies will also make for a much cooler day with temps in the 80s. Rain chances will diminish Wednesday night as our cold front passes.
Thursday will be a welcome change of pace, especially for our temps. We wake up to temps in the 60s but thanks to a northern flow, temps will only reach into the 70s during the afternoon timeframe. Our cold front will eventually stall out over the Carolinas, but it’s close enough to keep the chance for some isolated showers around.
Friday is still under the influence of our nearby stalled front. As temps go from near 60 to near 80 during the day, isolated chances will again be possible during the day. Best chances will be along the eastern mountain counties in West Virginia, but even if you don’t see any rain, it will be a nice reprieve from our ‘summertime’ weather.
Saturday continues where Friday left off as we continue to remain under the influence of our nearby stalled front. If you wish to make a trip up to northern WV, you’ll likely not see much in the way of showers. The best chances will be the farther south you travel, with isolated chances throughout your Saturday with temps in the 80s.
In your extended forecast, the chance for rain will continue into Sunday as well as the following week. It won’t rain all the time, but the chance will be around as temps start to climb back into the 80s through the middle of the following week.
