Momma’s Love Community Day brings health and wellness to New Haven

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) – The Momma’s Love Community Day returned to New Haven for a third year Saturday afternoon to promote community wellness.

Goffe Street Park played host to the health and wellness fair. New Haven Residents were provided with contacts and resources that would ideally prevent injury and illness, promote health and improve the quality of life for residents.

According to New Haven Health Director, Maritza Bond, the department is, “Ready to provide information about health and wellness but also healthy homes and will be able to provide support for individuals that need to have assistance in their homes and be able to have supplies to make sure they have quality living as well.”

For the kids, there was a bounce house, a live DJ, free, raffles and prizes.

The Community Day was dedicated to the memory of Latoya Glaser, the staff member at the New Haven Health Department who planned the original event and died in 2022.
