As we speak, Randy Orton is somewhere licking his wounds and hoping he didn’t suffer an injury that could sideline him for a little while heading into Summerslam — after he was dismantled by The Bloodline on the latest episode of SmackDown while WWE Champion Cody Rhodes was forced to watch from the confines of his rope entanglement.

With Kevin Owens tending to his sick mother back in Canada for the foreseeable future, and with Orton potentially down, Rhodes is on an island by himself against a four-pack of blood-thirsty mercenaries.

    Or is he?

Speaking from the And New! Wrestling podcast on Saturday morning, an idea has emerged that might already be in the mind of the WWE. With Jey Uso already eventually set to aid Rhodes, one of his best friends who is responsible for his success on RAW after defecting from the original Bloodline, it’s still not an even battle.

Jimmy Uso would certainly be of service though, and that’s something to consider as he nears his return (it’s imminent) after being medically cleared for work just hours ahead of SmackDown this week.

If the Usos can mend their fences and side with Rhodes, that only leaves one more spot to be filled to even the score entirely.

And maybe, just maybe, it’s someone we’ve all acknowledged before.
