Rancho Fire burns east of Mettler, evacuation warning issued: Cal Fire

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A vegetation fire burning on Sebastian Road in Kern County that posed an immediate threat to life has been downgraded, according to Cal Fire.

On July 13, Cal Fire and the Kern County Fire Department ordered an evacuation for genasys zone KRN-495, and KRN-118 near Arvin. The Rancho Fire is up to 9,590 acres at 10% containment.

The Kern County Fire Department is investigating the scene. The cause of this fire is unknown and being investigated.
