Clearwater Farm celebrates 25th anniversary

ONALASK, WIS (WKBT)-- Clearwater Farm, a non-profit organization, celebrated their 25th anniversary Saturday.

Clearwater Farm teaches communities about natural architectural, historical, and agricultural resources.

Live music by Driftless River, and food provided by Big Boar Barbecue, were a big part of the celebration.

One official says the farm is important because it gives kids and adults a way to give back and do something bigger than themselves.

"It instills volunteering. We have organic farming, its giving back to the community, we donate a lot to the food pantry in the summer, we are teaching kids how to handle animals and give back and be involved in something you're not getting paid to do," says Shari Collas President of Clearwater Farm.

The next fundraising event will be "A Taste of Summer" on September 7th. The money raised from the event will go towards developing the farm.
