BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) — Two people were arrested after the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) said they ran into a deputy’s vehicle while fleeing from a drive-by shooting.

According to BCSO, a deputy was in the area of Juan Tabo and Copper when he was struck by a vehicle.

The sheriff’s office said the vehicle was fleeing from a recent drive-by shooting and hit five other vehicles as well. They said two males got out of the car, started running away from the crash, and were taken into custody a short time later.
