You are valuable in the eyes of God

The most helpful folks are those who possess the strong paradox of confidence and humility. The person who says, “I don’t know how much I can help, but I will do all that I can.”

The man who walks in strong confidence while also considering those around him. Anyone willing to lead and let others contribute is an influencer who can build any team and make every person better.

Regrettably, it’s a common misconception that humility and confidence are at odds, leading people to place their confidence in transient things. If I could sit across from you today, I would strive to convince you of your immense value, which is not tied to your usefulness or efficiency - as you might believe.

You are valuable because God sees you. His love for you is so profound that He sent Jesus to give His life for your forgiveness, so you can bask in the eternity He has placed in your heart forever.

C.S. Lewis said, “All that is not eternal is eternally useless.”

I know your clean house and checked-off to-do lists are validating. I know you have a skill that others pine for. I am sure you cook a meal no one can touch.

Or, maybe you are more like someone who finds their worth in the car they drive or the money they make. All of these things are important, but they are not what makes you valuable.

God handcrafted you before you knew you were you. God has designed and defined plans for your life. He has introduced Himself to you, called you, saved, sanctified and delivered you because He loves you.

The Almighty Creator grants you a place in His family and in His Mission to tell the world all about the grace you have received. God wants you to be the house of His Spirit and glory. If you are this valued by God, shouldn’t you agree?

This matters so much because how you feel about yourself profoundly affects how you treat others. When you don’t love yourself and you don’t prioritize what you need, you then make your needs someone else’s problem. When you refuse to prioritize yourself, you expect others to do the same.

Eventually, if you can’t see your own value, you are way more likely to diminish others’ worth. I know that those who can’t see themselves as worthy often let people run all over them. God doesn’t want that from His people. Don’t allow yourself to speak or be spoken to as someone who doesn’t have great value. You are a representative of God Almighty, so see yourself that way!

I wish I could convince you how valuable you are and how much God wants you to rise to your full potential because the world needs you! If I could sit across the table from you and take your hand, I’d say the following words, in hopes that you’d hear them from the heart and voice of God. He’d say to you:

    You Matter:

    I love you

You are immensely valuable. Worthy of my attention and sacrifice

I have come a long way to find you. And I have called you.

Follow me! I’ll take you places you could never believe.

Be holy as I am holy. Just like there is no one like me, I see no one like you.

I need you to be Who I would be if I were you. You have what it takes

I love you to death. And there is no greater love than that.
