    HAREFEST — “The Mother of All Tribute Festivals," Harefest will return with an extra day added. This year’s event will run Thursday-Saturday, July 18-20 at the fairgrounds in Canby. The event features camping spots available and three days, three stages, and 27 bands assuming the style and musical tributes to classic bands such as Journey, CCR, Alabama, STYX, Scorpions, and more.     BROADWAY ROSE — The Tigard musical play company Broadway Rose presents “Beautiful: The Carole King Musical” at the Deb Fennell Auditorium in Tigard, July 18-Aug. 18. Directed by Lyn Cramer, it features many of the smash hits King — lauded for being one of the most successful female songwriters of the latter half of the 20th century — wrote. Those include "You've Got A Friend," "One Fine Day," "So Far Away," "Take Good Care Of My Baby," "Up On The Roof," "Will You Love Me Tomorrow," and "Natural Woman." More: broadwayrose.org .

    WOOD VILLAGE FUN — The biggest celebration in the smallest community, Wood Village’s City Nite Out draws thousands for free cotton candy and hot dogs, bouncy houses, dunk tanks, resource booths, music and more. Held 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, July 19, at Wood Village Baptist Church, 23601 N.E. Arata Rd.

    GRESHAM ARTS — New name, same focus on the arts. The Festival of Arts in Gresham, formerly Gresham Arts Festival, is the largest annual event in East Multnomah County. Nearly 130 vendors from all sorts of artistic disciplines will be spread throughout downtown from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 20. There will also be live music, food trucks, and a kids zone. The festival is now managed by the Center for the Arts Foundation.

    PORTLAND PRIDE FESTIVAL — The annual Portland Pride Waterfront Festival takes place noon-8 p.m. Saturday, July 20 and 11:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday, July 21 at Waterfront Park. The Portland Pride Parade is scheduled for 11 a.m. Sunday, July 21 from North Park Blocks and along Naito Parkway to the festival at the park. It’s the 30th year of the festival and the theme is “Feast and Love.” Waterfront Festival headliner is drag artist Jinkx Monsoon. More: portlandpride.org .

    REGGAE FESTIVAL — An annual concert event and campout, the NorthWest World Reggae Festival will be held July 19-21 near Brightwood, featuring roots reggae bands from eight countries, two stages, craft booths, organic food booths and youth activities. It’s the 20th anniversary festival. It’ll see the return of some of its favorite performers and it’s a showcase of local and regional acts. Notable performers are Prezident Brown, Big Mountain, Nattali Rize, Junior Toots, Aaron Nigel Smith and many more; Liberation Movement will have more than 15 performers from around the world on stage with video, lights and more, mixing reggae with Amazonian influenced sound in their three-hour sets.     CATHEDRAL PARK JAZZ FESTIVAL — It’s free and fun under the St. Johns Bridge. The Cathedral Park Jazz Festival features local jazz, blues, soul and Latin artists for the 44th year, July 19-21. More: jazzoregon.org .

    HUBBARD HOP FESTIVAL — Celebrating its 50th annual event in 2024, the Hubbard Hop Festival is Saturday, July 20 with family friendly games, a food court and entertainment in Rivenes Park, 2600 D St. The day kicks off with a 5K run and a parade through town.     THRIFTCON — The Portland stop in the ThriftCon series will be 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, July 20-21 at Expo Center, 2060 N. Marine Dr. It’s a premier vintage clothing and collectible sale as vendors from around the country gather for the shopping extravaganza. More: thriftcon.co .

    SHERWOOD ROBIN HOOD FESTIVAL — Ready your bows and get your medieval on at the 71st Sherwood Robin Hood Festival July 19-20. Among the parade and meeting the Maid Marian, don’t forget the international archery tournament against Nottingham, England, July 20-21.     CRUISIN' — The Pleasant Home Saloon, 31637 S.E. Dodge Park Blvd., Gresham, will host the Cruisin’ for a Cause annual car and motorcycle show to benefit the nonprofit organization Sandy’s Helping Hands from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 20.     OPERA A LA CART — One of the summer stops for Opera a la Cart is the Oregon City Library from 2 p.m.-3 p.m. July 21. Inspired by Portland’s food cart culture, Opera a la Cart is Portland Opera’s mobile performance venue. Each performance will employ three singers and one pianist, who will perform standard opera arias and ensembles as well as songs from classic musicals. Grab your blanket, pack a picnic and join us for an afternoon with the opera.

    CONCOURS D’ELEGANCE — Celebrate 50 years of Forest Grove’s famed car show 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. July 21. As the longest running Concours d’Elegance in the Pacific Northwest, more than 300 classic and modified cars stop over in Pacific University in an event featuring live music, food and a beer garden.
