TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — This morning will be dry and humid with temperatures starting out in the upper 70s across the Bay Area. Showers and storms will move through during the afternoon and evening hours as highs rise to the low and mid 90s with feels like temperatures around 105 degrees.

Just before 5 p.m., a severe thunderstorm warning was issued for Hillsborough County until 5:15 p.m. from the National Weather Service.

There will be fewer storms Monday, but timing will remain the same as temps start out in the upper 70s with afternoon highs in the low to mid 90s.

Rain arrives a bit earlier Tuesday and through the rest of the work week with midday rain lingering into the afternoon and evening. Expect fewer showers Wednesday and Thursday, but rain chances will be much higher Friday into the weekend. Lows will stay in the upper 70s with highs in the low 90s through next weekend.

The tropics remain quiet thanks to several plumes of Saharan dust moving through the Atlantic, Caribbean, and the Gulf of Mexico.
