Kate Middleton made an appearance at the Wimbledon Championships 2024 this afternoon with her daughter Princess Charlotte and sister Pippa. The trio were spotted in the royal box .

Kate, who recently took an unprecedented step to protect her children , was seen engaging in conversation with staff members before proceeding to Centre Court with her daughter. Nine-year-old Charlotte is no stranger to the court, having attended last year's Men's Singles final between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic alongside her elder brother, Prince George.

The siblings were seen cheering enthusiastically as the match reached its climax, with Carlos emerging victorious.

Both royals were dressed in blue for the occasion - George in a suit and tie, while Charlotte wore a patterned dress.

While on the Player's Lawn, Kate and Princess Charlotte interacted with two groups - one comprising female players and another from the 'Work at Wimbledon' programme, which provides young individuals from diverse backgrounds with roles at the Championships.

The Princess of Wales, who also serves as the patron of the All-England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, is anticipated to present the trophy to the winner of the much-awaited Men's Singles Final.

On July 12, the Women's Single's Final was clinched by Barbora Krejcikova who triumphed over Jasmine Paolini in a gripping three-set match, securing her second grand slam title. The 28-year-old Czech sensation followed in the footsteps of compatriot Marketa Vondrousova, last year's winner of the Venus Rosewater Dish.

Just days before, Wimbledon officials had disclosed they were devising "backup plans" amid concerns that Kate, currently undergoing preventative chemotherapy, might not make it to the event this year.

Earlier in the tournament, Kate had expressed admiration for Andy Murray, acknowledging his contributions to Wimbledon and stating: "An incredible Wimbledon career comes to an end. You should be so very proud Andy Murray. On behalf of all of us, thank you! C."

This heartfelt message was personally signed and shared on social media. Sir Andy Murray was set to team up with Emma Raducanu for mixed doubles, but the match didn't proceed as planned due to Raducanu withdrawing because of stiffness in her right wrist.

Despite her cancer diagnosis earlier this year, Kate, aged 42, made an unexpected appearance at Trooping the Colour, joining the Royal Family for the ceremonial event.

Kate had previously updated the public about her health journey in a statement last month, mentioning she was making progress but still facing challenges, with "good days and bad days" during her ongoing treatment.

Additionally, Kensington Palace confirmed on Friday that Prince William is scheduled to be present at the Euro 2024 final in Berlin on Sunday, where he will be cheering on England as they face off against Spain.

William, the president of the FA, also attended England's quarter-final victory over Switzerland on Saturday and the group-stage match against Denmark.

King Charles has extended his congratulations to the England men's football team for reaching the Euro 2024 final, but he has urged them to avoid any further last-minute drama.
