    Central Ohio Weather and Radar

Partly sunny skies and very sticky conditions fueled a line of showers and locally strong to severe storms that rolled through central Ohio late this afternoon, and across the southeastern counties early this evening, associated with an upper-level disturbance.

Stronger storms in the southwestern part of the state produced damaging wind gusts with downpours and frequent lightning.

Some cloudiness will linger overnight, as showers dissipate by sunset. A second weakening batch of showers and a few rumbles could arrive toward morning in the northwest. Overnight readings will be steady in the low to mid-70s.

Temperatures will reach the mid-90s on Monday and Tuesday on the northern edge of a heat dome. A few scattered storms are possible later on Monday, with a better chance Tuesday evening ahead of a cold front, which will end the heat wave.

Showers and storms will taper early on Wednesday as the front pushes east of Ohio. Cooler and less humid conditions are expected for the second half of the week, with highs in the low 80s.
