Chicago has been garnering attention in various rankings recently, with one of its suburban gems, the Deer Path Inn, making waves on Travel & Leisure’s latest list of the best hotels worldwide. This prestigious list, based on the opinions of the outlet's readers, places the Deer Path Inn at No. 66 globally.

The Deer Path Inn, a Tudor-style hotel nestled in Lake Forest, boasts nearly a century of history. Established in 1929, the hotel has become a beloved retreat in one of America’s most affluent suburbs. Its consistent rise in the annual rankings is attributed to its exceptional service and inviting atmosphere.

This year's Travel & Leisure survey saw participation from over 186,000 readers, who collectively cast more than 700,000 votes across 8,700 properties worldwide. Each property was rated on several criteria, including rooms, facilities, location, service, food, and overall value. The Deer Path Inn's inclusion as one of only 16 U.S.-based hotels on the list underscores its exceptional quality and reputation.

As part of the World's Best Awards 2024, Travel & Leisure also highlighted top resorts in the Midwest. The Deer Path Inn secured the top spot in this category and was recognized as the sixth-best resort in the continental U.S. This distinction emphasizes the hotel's significant appeal and high standards.

In addition to the Deer Path Inn's accolades, Chicago itself was recognized, being voted the ninth-best city in the U.S. by Travel & Leisure. This recognition adds to the city's growing list of achievements and highlights its appeal as a top destination.
