Police search for suspect who fled officers in Brooklyn Park

Police are searching for an at-large suspect who fled officers after a crash in Brooklyn Park Friday night.

According to an alert from the Brooklyn Park Police Department, officers were called to the area of Interstate 694 and County Road 81 to help search for a suspect at around 8:40 p.m.

Law enforcement were reportedly pursuing a motorist on I-694 when the driver crashed at County Road 81. The driver then fled on foot into Lakeland Park and the neighborhoods to the south.

Multiple law enforcement agencies — including a State Patrol chopper — searched the area for around two hours, but the suspect was not found, according to the alert.

The Eden Prairie Police Department will conduct a follow-up investigation. No further information has been provided.
