Mark Robinson, the 35th lieutenant governor of North Carolina and Republican candidate for governor, shared a minute-long video to X Saturday evening expressing his thoughts. Like Cooper, he said he believes politics is no place for violence.

We must remain calm. We must remain steadfast, and we must remain unified on at least that point,” he said.
