Anthony Edwards was jokingly mocking Tyrese Haliburton 's jump shot. Haliburton attempted to defend his shot motion, claiming that he has a floater, only for Edwards to mimic his shot motion and continue making fun of him. It was clear that both of them were having fun from the smiles on their faces.

Haliburton and Edwards are two of the young stalwarts on the team, as Team USA has opted to bring its experienced superstars like LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and Kevin Durant to the 2024 Paris Olympics. Both Haliburton and Edwards are coming off great seasons, where they took their respective teams to the conference finals.

Haliburton averaged 20.1 points, 10.9 assists, and 3.9 rebounds as he led the Pacers to both the NBA In-Season Tournament Final and the Eastern Conference Finals. Whereas Edwards averaged 25.9 points, 5.4 rebounds and 5.1 assists as he took the Timberwolves to the Western Conference Finals.

Both players will be looking to play a big role for Team USA, who are aiming to earn their fifth consecutive Olympic gold medal this year. Haliburton and Edwards have shown their capacity to take over a game and could be called upon to do just that for Team USA.

Anthony Edwards boldly proclaimed that he was the number one option for Team USA, despite playing alongside LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and Kevin Durant. But Edwards has maintained that position , even though he told James about his nerves ahead of their practice game against Team Canada .

Anthony Edwards Looking To Build Relationships During Team USA Run

Anthony Edwards spoke about the relationships he has with players on Team USA and the ones he is looking forward to building. He praised everyone on the team and talked about playing with them. Edwards was glad he could play with such stars in a non-competitive environment during scrimmages and build relationships with them.

"Really well. Me and Tyrese played together last year. Me and Bam always talk trash when we play Miami, me and AD always talk trash to each other. Me and JT, we go at it every time, Jrue. Embiid, we all always talk trash to each other, and D-Book. Being able to be here, amongst each other, and not talk trash and be on one team, the camaraderie is dope."

Edwards has been focused solely on the success of Team USA for now, forgetting entirely about his previous NBA season. He told reporters that he was over the loss in the Western Conference Finals to the Timberwolves, and he was looking to the future.

Edwards and Team USA are the favorites to win the gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics. With the roster they have assembled, they will be expected to put up an excellent performance and win the gold once again. Edwards could have a stand-out performance with the team, as he is the youngest starter for the squad.
