" I was really surprised they did as well as they did," White said in an interview with USA Today alongside Sajak about the celeb contestants on the show. "It's kind of out of their comfort zone. Although they’re familiar and comfortable with cameras, they're up there playing a game. They don't want to look bad. They had a good time. It was fun.”

What will ‘Wheel of Fortune’ look like without Pat Sajak?

It was announced that Sajak’s replacement on the hit game show would be none other than famed television personality and host Ryan Seacrest. Seacrest has been lining his resume with hosting gigs for years, most notably taking charge on American Idol, On Air With Ryan Seacrest, E! News, Live With Kelly and Ryan, New Year’s Rockin’ Eve and more.

The 49-year-old television star has the charisma and charm you want to see in a host, and both fans and Seacrest himself are anxiously anticipating his reign, set to begin in the fall.

I think I have so much adrenaline rushing through my body . Excitement is the word because it's such a phenomenal show,” Seacrest told PEOPLE of his upcoming gig. “I've been a fan. I grew up watching the show. And I can't wait to take over after the legendary Pat Sajak.”

Seacrest’s co-host-, White, is also excited about her new teammate. The 67-year-old Wheel of Fortune veteran shared a photo to her Instagram sitting beside Seacrest while they enjoyed a meal together.

“Friends on and off camera. Enjoying one of our favorites, Chicken and Dumplings!,” read the caption. We’re glad to see that this next generation of Wheel of Fortune is off to a splendid start!
