Former state representative and current candidate Ken Gucker issued an apology Monday after posting a meme online that made light of the incident where a bullet grazed former President Donald Trump during a campaign event in Pennsylvania. The meme, which Gucker later deleted, used an image from a 1960s sitcom to imply the bullet "missed him by that much," referencing the shooting incident. Gucker is once again running for the 138th District Assembly seat. Gucker released the following statement: "As someone who personally understands the impact of gun violence, it is never a joking matter. Yesterday a regrettable incident occurred where a photo that was sent to me became attached to a group of photos and was mistakenly posted. Upon learning of its existence the post was immediately taken down. I take full responsibility for this error and deeply regret it. I have never condoned political violence in any form. At this time there are no plans to exit the race. My thoughts and prayers are with all those who were impacted by the events in Pennsylvania, including former President Trump." "
