He became a multi-millionaire after purchasing the winning ticket at the Fastlane convenience store at 3540 State Street in Saginaw County, Michigan.

The motorist won the mammoth prize-money after scratching off his $4,000,000 Ultimate instant game ticket, according to Michigan Lottery.

And the lucky player couldn't believe he’d won a staggering $4 million.

I scanned the ticket again, and when that message came up a second time, I thought the scanner was broken.

The 52-year-old player has chosen to remain anonymous, but has revealed more about his stunning win.

“I stopped to get gas and bought two $4,000,000 Ultimate tickets while I was in the store,” he explained on July 8.

He scratched the barcodes, scanned his first ticket, and a message popped up to tell him to file a claim.

“I scanned the ticket again, and when that message came up a second time, I thought the scanner was broken,” he recalled.

“I scanned the second ticket and that scanned correctly - so I wasn’t sure what was going on.”

Still confused, he went out of the store, to pump gas into his car.

“I scratched the ticket while I was waiting,” he said.
