    Power outage planned for nearly 1,200 customers in Summers County

    SUMMERS COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A power outage is planned for nearly 1,200 customers in Summers County next week.

    According to Summers County 911, Mon Power has announced a scheduled power outage for Friday, July 26, 2024, to facilitate essential facility upgrades.

    The outage will take place from 8:30 AM to 2 PM, affecting approximately 1,190 customers.

    The outage will affect customers in the areas of Alderson, Ballengee, Forest Hill, Hinton, Pence Springs, Talcott, and Wayside.

    Downtown areas of Hinton and Alderson will not be impacted by this outage.

    In case of inclement weather, the outage will be rescheduled for Tuesday, July 30, 2024.

    Affected customers will receive automated phone notifications to the number associated with their account.
