Patrick Beverley 's future could be away from the NBA. Patrick Beverley used his Pat Bev Podcast's X account to share an update about his future, in which he revealed that he is considering a historic offer in Europe against a veteran's minimum deal from an unnamed NBA team.

"DEVELOPING: Patrick Beverley is currently weighing his options between a NBA Vet Minimum contract and a HISTORIC contract in Europe."

Greek basketball journalist Thanos Tsibos revealed on X that the team offering his historic contract is reportedly Hapoel Tel Aviv. Beverley even played under their current coach, Stefanos Dedas, during his time at Spartak Moscow in the 2011-12 season.

Beverley has had some tough years recently in the NBA. Since getting traded by the Clippers, he has bounced around the league, mostly signing team-friendly contracts, and being used as cap filler for trades. Since 2021, Beverley has played for five different franchises and has been traded five separate times.

Beverley was once considered one of the better defenders in the NBA. His time with the Clippers was perhaps when he was best known as a good defender, but an excellent instigator. Now, he is no longer the adept defender he once used to be, and his antics aren't tolerated by teams as the on-court returns do not justify them.

Last season, Beverley averaged 6.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game while playing for the 76ers and then the Bucks when he got traded. He might be better off taking the deal and going to Europe to revitalize his career.

Patrick Beverley Crossed A Line Last Season

Patrick Beverley's reputation across the league suffered what could be considered an irreversible hit. Last season, after a Bucks playoff game, Beverley disrespected a female reporter when he told her she couldn't ask him a question because she hadn't subscribed to his podcast.

This move upset a lot of people, as it was incredibly disrespectful to the reporter who was just trying to do her job. It didn't help that Beverley swung a ball into the stands after Game 6 of the Bucks' first-round series against the Pacers. It was two moments of really poor behavior from Beverley.

Nick Wright called him out for said behavior , accusing him of being a misogynist, and slammed him for his repeated antics without any positive performance on the court.

Perhaps Beverley should take the contract and play for Tel Aviv. A stint in the European League will also sharpen Beverley's basketball game, as the European game is far more reliant on basketball fundamentals than antagonizing and antics.

Beverley is no longer the productive defender in the NBA that he once was, which means fans and organizations no longer give him the same leeway they once did. Maybe a stint in Europe might be the way for Pat Bev to make a comeback to the league later down the line.
