Finn Balor, the leader of The Judgment Day, recently shared his thoughts on Dominik Mysterio’s influence on the faction. Debuting at WrestleMania 38 with Edge, now known as Adam Copeland and Damian Priest, the faction soon welcomed Rhea Ripley into the mix.

However, The Judgment Day changed dramatically, turning on Edge and appointing Finn Balor as their new leader. After ousting “The Rated-R Superstar,” their focus shifted towards the Mysterio family. For months, the faction relentlessly attacked Rey and Dominik Mysterio, who eventually received aid from their former ally, Edge.

During Clash at the Castle 2022, Edge and Rey Mysterio defeated The Judgment Day. However, Dominik Mysterio stunned fans by betraying both Edge and his own father, Rey Mysterio. This unexpected heel turn, which fans never anticipated, revitalized Dominik’s career. It led him to join forces with The Judgment Day, forming a villainous alliance that took fans by surprise. Since aligning with The Judgment Day, Dominik Mysterio’s singles career in WWE has flourished, marking a significant rise even without his father’s support.

Dominik Mysterio’s shocking betrayal of his father made The Judgment Day one of WWE’s most hated factions. Fans shower them with boos every time they show up in the arena. Last year, the faction achieved a remarkable feat, with each member holding a championship at one point. This achievement showcased WWE’s significant trust in the faction. The leader of The Judgment Day, Finn Balor, recently discussed how Dominik’s addition helped everyone within the faction.

Finn Balor, who recently appeared on “What’s the Story?”, discussed how Dominik Mysterio’s addition helped The Judgment Day garner heat from the fans. Balor expressed surprise at how Dominik’s involvement unfolded, initially believing he, Damian Priest, and Rhea Ripley would assist Dominik.

He stated, “You never think that it’s going to lead to what it f***ing led to. Then I start doing the team with ‘The Judgement Day… Then it’s me and Damian [Priest’s] job to kind of help Dom. Here’s me naively thinking that… me, Damien, and Rhea are supposed to be helping Dominik. In reality, it’s Dominik helping us get heat and making us more of a believable heel unit.”

Furthermore, he highlighted Dominik’s rapid development in the ThunderDome era in 2020, during which he learned and adapted to wrestling on live TV. He stated, “He was pretty much trained on the job. He made his debut in the ThunderDome, and those were like his first matches… He’s basically an anomaly, where he learned what he’s doing now on live television.”

While The Judgment Day has dominated as a faction in recent years, fans have noticed some cracks that suggest the faction may be on the verge of breaking up.
