Hannah Berner Reveals Why She Thinks She Was Fired From Summer House

If you’ve logged into Netflix recently, you probably noticed that former Summer House star Hannah Berner just released a comedy special. We’re still scratching our heads trying to figure out how she went from Bravoleb to stand-up comedian. Somehow, it happened.

Although she’s enjoying her success as a comedian, she hasn’t forgotten about her Bravo beginnings. But, she is having a hard time keeping her story straight about why her time at Bravo came to an end.

When Hannah first left Summer House, she said that it was because she wanted to focus on her comedy career. Now, she’s blaming her exit on an ad she did for a Loverboy competitor that left Kyle Cooke with a bruised ego.

Is it Loverboy or nothing?

During Season 5 of Summer House, we definitely saw Hannah’s relationship deteriorating with her castmates. On the show, it seemed like it was because she kept picking at Kyle’s relationship with Amanda Batula . However, Hannah claims that it all started because of the ad she did for Truly Hard Seltzer.

Obviously, there’s a trend right now with former Bravo stars calling out the network for alleged mistreatment . Hannah is just the latest, and she dished about her Bravo exit during a recent interview on Dave Portnoy’s BFF’s podcast.

Dave said he heard a rumor that Hannah’s exit came after she sponsored a “rival seltzer drink.” In actuality, her publicist probably fed Dave that question to spark some publicity for the comedy special . Regardless of where the rumor started, she wasted no time diving into her side of the story.

“The truth is beef started ’cause I did an ad for Truly seltzer, and I didn’t know that I, like, wasn’t allowed to,” Hannah claimed.

She continued, “Yeah, that was a big storyline on the show. I didn’t know that I wasn’t allowed to drink other drinks.”

According to Hannah, Bravo didn’t necessarily “fire” her. Instead, a bunch of her castmates got annoyed with her anti-Loverboy behavior which “snowballed” into a bigger situation. Meanwhile, a source close to production told Page Six that this was all completely made up. Either way, she told the story on Dave’s podcast as if it were gospel.

“I think some of these shows become a lot of egos,” she explained, “and it’s like, ‘It’s my show. It’s my drink. You can’t do that.’ And there’s no rules, and it just becomes fighting over egos and screen time, and it’s not that fun after doing it for too many seasons.”
