Readers asked to decide which area football team could win a state championship in 2025

Don't look now but the 2024 South Dakota High School football season is just around the corner.

That's why we've decided to make the weekly poll question and asked readers to pick which team will win a state championship in 2024?

The list includes 11 teams who at least reached the state playoff quarterfinals in their respective classes last fall with a 12th option for readers being any other team not listed.

Voting continues through Sunday at 11:59 a.m.

Last week's poll asked readers to decide "What area team had the biggest highlight during the 2023-34 S.D. high school sports season?"

The top vote getter was Estelline-Hendricks' gymnastics team, which repeated as the state Class A champion.
