    VIDEO: Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association to begin repairs


    UPDATE (12:21 p.m. on Monday, July 15): Power is back on at the Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association.

    KANAWHA COUNTY, WV (WOWK) — The Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association says they are without power as the county is under a heat advisory with a heat index of 100-105 degrees in some areas .

    They say they now have generators, coolers, fans and ice, but are still asking people who can to take a dog or cat for a day.

    According to the Appalachian Power outage map, the estimated restoration time is 1 p.m. on Monday. They say the reason for the outage is “tree contact.”
