Alex Cooper branded 'this generation's Oprah' as she looks to expand her wealth

Alex Cooper 's latest business move has people talking.

The Call Her Daddy podcast star received praise from the president of NBC Olympics Molly Solomon who called her "this generation's Oprah Winfrey" after announcing a partnership between Alex and the television network. The star will be hosting a live show on Peacock during the Olympics where she'll be commentating on the sporting event with her own unique twist.

Rather than a traditional sports rundown, Alex vowed to make her production far more accessible. Without requiring viewers to have sports knowledge, she plans to bring on celebrities to give their thoughts and keep the show pretty light-hearted.

She said on the TODAY show: "The show really, like, how I started to think about it was, as a former D1 athlete... I understand the intensity and the determination and the practice and all that goes into these big moments, but as a viewer at home it's like a completely different experience.

"So, the show is really going to be me watching with celebrities and comedians and friends. And people can write in and you're going to watch us watch the Olympics. It's okay if you don't understand sports. It's okay if you have no idea what's happening. I may not either, but it's okay. We're going to have fun."

Alex became famous for her podcast, Call Her Daddy, which is known for its raunchy humor and style. Over time, Alex started having high-profile guests and the show transformed toward an interview style format. She's created a small empire with a strong social media following.

At one point, her podcast was hosted in conjunction with Sofia Franklyn, but the pair later went separate ways. The budding media mogul also hosted her podcast with Barstool Sports temporarily before starting a partnership with Sirius XM.
