Jenn Tran has revealed the clever secret that helped her sail through the nerve-wracking first night of The Bachelorette and remember the names of her 25 suitors.

The reality star has reflected on the whirlwind first night and admitted sparks flew with Sam M, who was given the coveted first impression rose and shared a steamy kiss with Jenn. Now, Jenn has revealed the handy trick she used during the rose ceremony.

During an appearance on the Girls Gotta Eat podcast, Jenn confessed she took inspiration from previous stars to remember every guy's name. She said she would take brief breaks to consult with producers during the ceremony, ensuring each rose went to the right man.

"Every few roses, I would go [to the producers], and be like, 'I want to give this one a rose, just remind me of his name," Jenn disclosed. She also admitted the first night is much longer than fans think, which didn't help when trying to remember names.

Jenn admitted the challenge was made worse as she was sleep-deprived and feeling "delusional." She explained: "Honestly, on Night 1, it's 10 a.m...and I'm fully up for, what, 24 hours at that point."

Jenn isn't the first to admit that the process typically takes time, with leads often saying only a select number of names, then stopping to confer with producers before returning for another set of names. Former host Chris Harrison first revealed the secret back in 2009.

"Everyone's nervous at their first rose ceremony, so we make it real easy for them, and we break [shooting] up into three to five people at a time," he said at the time. "Then we'll stop, just to make sure we don't run into any mistakes."

Jenn had an instant connection with Sam M on night one and even shared a kiss with him. Speaking about her decision to give him the first impression rose, Jenn told Us Weekly: "Throughout that night, I was just like, 'Who am I going to give the first impression rose to?'

"And I kept thinking back to Sam, because we had such an easy flowing conversation. It was easy to give him that rose, because I just felt so comfortable and I knew that there was going to be potential there."
