‘Fearless’ TikTok star Bella Brave dead at 10 after bowel issues: ‘Everything is hard without her’

TikTok star Bella Brave died Sunday after battling numerous health issues. She was 10.
“Our brave girl left her legacy here on earth to dance on streets of gold July 14th 2024 at 4:19 p.m. ET,” her mother, Kyla Thomson, announced Monday alongside a video of the young influencer dancing in a purple dress.
“Bella passed peacefully in our arms,” she continued. “Please keep her name on your lips, her memories alive and her bravery in your hearts. Please share with us every detail of how she touched your life or kept you brave.”

Kyla concluded her message by saying her late daughter, whose real name was Isabella Thomson, would want her fans to remember “God is love, be brave and you are never too old to bring a stuffy 🧸.”
Bella became a viral star on TikTok because of her sparkling personality while battling life-threatening health challenges, including the rare bowel illness Hirschsprung’s disease and severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID).
Hirschsprung’s disease is a condition that affects the large intestine (colon) and causes problems with passing stool, according to the Mayo Clinic .

Bella underwent a bowel transplant in August to treat the disease and recovered “faster than any child with a bowel transplant has,” Kyla shared.
The internet sensation’s health took a turn last week when she developed a viral infection in her lungs and suffered complications.
Doctors placed her in a medically induced coma at Toronto’s SickKids hospital to help treat her declining health, but her mom shared that she remained “stable with no improvement.”

On Sunday, July 14, Kyla shared on Instagram that her daughter was “still with us and she is still fighting” but added, “I don’t know which way things are gonna go.”
In a separate statement to People after Bella’s death, Kyla confessed, “Everything is hard without her.
“Please help me let the world know I need them to share with us how Bella touched their lives, helped them or how she lives on in their hearts and lives,” she added.
